I am a full-time NHS consultant, and my work involves a mixture of providing care for all acute fracture admissions, major trauma admissions, as well as elective limb reconstruction.
My clinical practice is centered on the management of complex orthopaedic injuries, including nonoperatively treated spinal fractures, and complications resulting from fractures and fracture treatment.
I work with a team of orthopaedic and plastic surgeons providing a regional service for limb reconstruction surgery – a specialty within orthopaedics that deals with problems with fracture healing in both upper and lower limbs, and in the treatment of skeletal deformity and bone infection.
I also do multidisciplinary clinics with consultatnts in neurorehabiliation and neurosurgeons to assess and treat orthopaedic complications of brain and spinal injury.
I provide about 150 reports a year for Personal Injury, with an increasing proportion – typically complex injuries and amputation – of instructions from Defendant Firms.
I prepare about 20 reports a year on alleged clinical negligence, with about a 50:50 split between claimant and defendant firms.
The secretarial team can be contacted over the phone during all working days, and I can be contacted by email for formal and informal enquiries.
I aim to produce reports with a reasonable turnaround time, as described in my Terms and Conditions. Urgent reports can only be accommodated at prior request.
